PAUSE, PERUSE AND PONDER

THEN MY LIVING IS NOT IN VAIN

If in life I find the road that lead to the Cross
And by faith apply the atoning blood for cleansing
If truly am saved & genuinely saved
Then my living may not be in vain

If I can lighten up someone's darkness
And make him find a reason for living
If I bring joy to the gloomy in mind
Then my living may not be in vain

If I can help somebody who is in need
And help him get to find a means of survival
Through which he can be fulfilled
Then my living may not be in vain

If I can cheer up the broken hearted
And help him fill up the created cracks
That he can be up on his feet again
Then my living may not be in vain

If I can be a channel of blessings to others
To help them through darksome times
That they in turn build up a wall of support
Then my living may not be in vain

If I can give food for those who are hungry
That some people can have their stomach filled
If the hungry can be fed by me
Then my living may not be in vain

If I can give a cup of water to the thirsty
And I can quench the dryness in that throat
And bring a soothing relief to the athirst
Then my living may not be in vain

If I help with words of encouragement
That the wearied and weakened are raised
And finds hope and reason to live
Then my living may not be in vain

If I run so well with the given vision
And didn't give it off for any reason
If I escape the snares of temptations
Then my living may not be in vain

If I remember to teach my children
The eternal words of my Saviour
And they hold this Creed as their magnacarta
Then my living may not be in vain

If I can combine spiritual success with my academic pursuit
And I am not wanting in my matrimonial duties
If I am able to have a balance in these
Then my living may not be in vain

If I keep and contend for the faith
That in the scriptures can be read in me
And my life lead others to Christ
Then my living may not be in vain

If I am able to raise the banner of holiness
That my identity is that of His righteousness
And refute affiliations with the world's practices
Then my living may not be in vain

If I am able to preach the gospel
To the young and the old either male or female
That I might by all means save some
Then my living may not be in vain

If my talent is used to populate heaven
And the kingdom of hell suffers a great loss
And I set up a joyful celebration for the Angels
Then my living may not be in vain

If I be a man of God in truth
Who is not a failure in my day-to-day work
And I am not a reproach to His kingdom
Then my living may not be in vain

If I spend quality time to pray always
Such that I can talk with God as much as I do with men
And my voice has a special recognition in heaven
Then my living may not be in vain

If I can make mark in the sand of time
That even at my demise there is a remembrance
That I did all I could for the Kingdom
Then my living may not be in vain

If my whole being be so used to God
And He is so used to me
That He initiates all I do
Then my living may not be in vain

If my life be so lived in Holiness till death
And till last breath didn't compromise my faith
If I live in purity till I cross the eternal border
Then my living is not in vain

If by the side of the river of life
I open my eyes only to behold
The incomprehensible beauty my Bible had told me of
Then my living is not in vain

If I finally find myself in that celestial city
Where the streets are made of gold
And I hear welcome home at last, enter into eternal rest
It is only then I can boldly say that "my living on this side of heaven is not in vain"
