PROVERBS DAILY

It is pathetic how some men has been brought down low and their strength drained out. Just because they gave the key that opens the door into their powerhouse to women.

Dear strong man, learn from Samson for thou canst be stronger than him. He gave the key into his powerhouse to a woman, his sight went for it and he was brought down so low.
To the great ones in wisdom, remember thou that the heart of Solomon the wisest King was turned away from God by women.

May God save us from the hands and snares of strange women

THE SALVATION AND THE SECURITY OF HIS SHEEP

MONDAY BIBLE STUDY
BY PASTOR W. F. KUMUYI
ON OCTOBER 30TH, 2017

THE SALVATION AND THE SECURITY OF HIS SHEEP
John 10:22-30
Here was the Shepherd yet they were not protected. Here was the Redeemer, yet they were bot saved. Here was the Savior but they belittled him and lost incalculable blessings. The failure for them to see was because of the blinding leading influence of their leaders. Those Jews could only think through the mind of the leaders that were hardened already.
So many still depend on some blind leaders to lead them even when they have the Bible

1. THE INESCAPABLE DAMNATION OF SKEPTICAL SINNERS
2. THE INCONTESTABLE DESCRIPTION OF THE SHEPHERD'S SHEEP
3. THE INESTIMABLE DECLARATION OF THE SAINT'S SECURITY

1. THE INESCAPABLE DAMNATION OF SKEPTICAL SINNERS
John 10:22-25
The people that already know that Jesus is Lord - John 1:41; 2:11; 3:2; 4:42; 5:32; 6:69;7:26,46; 8:30; 9:22,38; 10:42
?Who are those that made them to doubt? They were their leaders. These leaders are:
_Traditional leaders
_Place seeking leaders
_Religious leaders
_Hardened leaders
_Uncircumcised leaders
_Hypocritical leaders
John 1:19,29; 2:17; 3:25-30; 7:11-14; I Kings 2:18; Romans 2:3; Hebrews 2:3; Matthew 23:33

2. THE INCONTESTABLE DESCRIPTION OF THE SHEPHERD'S SHEEP
John 10:26,27
?Who are those referred to as the sheep of the Lord? These people have these characteristics:
_they hear Him John 10:27; 4:42; 5:24; 6:45
_believe on Him John 10:26; Mark 1:14,15
_known by Him John 10:27; Matthew 7:21; II Timothy 2:19
_follow him John 10:27b,4,5; 8:11,12; 12:26; Ephesians 5:1-4; I Peter 2:21

3. THE INESTIMABLE DECLARATION OF THE SAINT'S SECURITY
John 10:28; 6:27; I John 4:13; 5:18; John 10:28; 5:24; Hebrews 7:25; I Peter 1:5; John 8:28,29; II Timothy 1:12 ; Jude 1:21,24,25

STAND FAST; STAND IN WATCHFULNESS AND BE WISE

STAND FAST; STAND IN WATCHFULNESS AND BE WISE

Standing fast will last longer if he who is standing is watching. Paying close attention to occurrences around and the Satan's plot is not usually enough for him that is standing. He must pay this detailed attention continuously because the insatiable hunger of the devil to have you derailed in your Christian stand. Wisdom will help the watchman make his watching effective. The kind of wisdom that will make a watchman stand out is not the one initiated by human effort but divinely orchestrated. The standing Christian must always take divine instruction from the Lord and act on it with divine wisdom.

"Wisdom will make a standing watchman know when to hide himself and when to come out to be seen even by his adversary"

PROVERBS DAILY

"Holy words long preserved
For our walk in this world
They resound with God's own heart
Oh, let the ancient words impart"

"Words of Life, words of Hope
Give us strength, help us cope
In this world, where e'er we roam
Ancient words will guide us home"

It is only the words of men that are fallible but We have a more sure word of prophecy, THE WORD OF GOD

Sunday 29 October 2017

PROVERBS DAILY

Don't wait until you attain the presidential position before you rule in righteousness. Any leadership position you occupy (no matter how seemingly infinitesimal it appears) it is an avenue for you to display faithfulness and loyalty in service. Let ruling with the fear of God begin with you

Saturday 28 October 2017

PROVERBS DAILY

If you do evil it will suppress good and strengthen the evil men to do more evil. Rather, do good to suppress evil and strengthen the good men to do good.
The way to eradicate corruption is not only to keep talking about it; It is by not following the path of the corrupters but in the corrected path.

_There is a lot to do and we are able
_There is a lot to do and God will strengthen

PROVERBS DAILY

Let your work reveal your worth. A man of content is courteous and has control over over himself.

Thursday 26 October 2017

STAND FAST; STAND VEHEMENTLY AND VAST

STAND FAST; STAND VEHEMENTLY AND VAST

Being vehement means to be characterised by great force and energy. This can easily be achieved when all your material resources and academic acumen is given totally to the Lord.
The characteristics of being vehement demands:
- you are not moved by emotions but by the spirit.
- prompt obedience from you at any time
- true loyalty to God who has called you to stand fast
- you give your time to God
- fierceness against the rebel
- ferociousness in reaction to sin
- you give your life as the ultimate price if it that becomes the only alternative to defending the course of righteousness

"Your vehemence is a direct product of the intensity of your conviction. Convinced to stand? Stand vehemently"

PROVERBS DAILY

There are times that you just can't but talk to clear off the error in the propagation of the foolishness of the fools. Keeping mute at this time is not expected. But then, it requires divine wisdom to discern when to remain SILENT and when to SPEAK.

Wednesday 25 October 2017

PROVERBS DAILY

Don't be too forward! Always wait for an invitation to a seat of honour before going to take such seat.

Tuesday 24 October 2017

PROVERBS DAILY

Those who you company with say a lot about you. The definition of who you are by others has about 75% content of those who hovers around you. An axiom has it this way "show me your friend and I'll tell you who you are". You are actually like them, nursing the idea of becoming like them or have the propensity of being like them if you are found with them.

Monday 23 October 2017

STAND FAST; STAND AS AN UNDAUNTED UP HOLDER

STAND FAST; STAND AS AN UNDAUNTED UP HOLDER

There is need as an upholder of the truth to be unshaken in purpose and be resolutely courageous. Our antagonist (the devil) has unquenchable thirst in seeing the saints being brought back to their vomit. If he can't achieve this, he is also willing to take the truth from them. If all these attempts fail, he will also want to contaminate the truth in their hands contaminated (either by adding a little to make it bigger than what it should be or by removing a little to make it lesser than what it should be).
Satan is an opposer who will want all who is standing to loose focus and be lost. But the undaunted upholder is focused undisturbed, knowing what he has got and where he is going to.
Nothing comes across the path of the undaunted that can him to shift his ground. His mind is made up to get to his destination.

"standing undaunted in upholding the truth makes you free from all frivolities and unprofitable freebies"

PROVERBS DAILY

The ability to control your appetite is good factor that can earn you respect and re-invitation by rulers. Great men are always considerate and wise in what they eat

Sunday 22 October 2017

STAND FAST; STAND AS A TEACHER AND TEACH

STAND FAST; STAND AS A TEACHER AND TEACH

One of the way you can constantly remind yourself and never forget what you learnt is to teach others what you have learnt.
Faithfully have you received and fearlessly you are holding on, you are to fortify others to be able to stand fast.
As you teach:
_Train them by teaching the complete truth
_Exhort them by expounding the scriptures to them. Also encourage them with exemplary lifestyle
_Acclimatise them to the activities of the adversaries and the arch-fiend
_Compel them to get comfort at calvary while bearing the cross
_Help them to hold the fort against all heresies

"And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also... 2 Timothy 2:2 (KJV)"

PROVERBS DAILY

Behold, the POOR and the RICH:

- Opportunities wasted will make you poor but opportunities utilised will make you rich
- Time squandered will make you poor but time well spent will make you rich
- The information you got and mismanaged will make you poor but when well acted upon it will make you rich
- If you keep bad companies, they'll make you poor but good companion will make you rich
- Laziness will make you poor but hardworking will make you rich
- Treading the road to the kingdom of being poor will make you disregard counsels but he that will be rich will seek for goodly counsel
- Delay in action will make you poor but prompt response to instruction will make you rich

There is always a coincidence that will bring the POOR and the RICH together. May you then, be among the LATTER.

STAND FAST; STAND LIKE A SOLDIER AND BE STRONG

STAND FAST; STAND LIKE A SOLDIER AND BE STRONG

Formally, an enlisted man or woman who serves in a permanent organisation of the military land forces of a nation is called a soldier. A soldier operates directly under the highest authority of the land. Commands given to a soldier by his commandant is not meant to meet with a level of response below 100%. Soldiers are ever ready-minded to even loose their lives in the course of defending their land.
Christians are like soldiers in the stand with Christ and in the defence of the faithfulness.
In the training soldiers undergo, they are trained to be battle-ready at all time and to never-say-die at any time.
_Soldiers are Strong, so are we supposed to be as Christians
_Soldiers are Obedient, so are we supposed to be as Christians
_Soldiers are not Licentious, so are we supposed to be as Christians
_Soldiers are Dogged, so are we supposed to be as Christians
_Soldiers are Integrity-conscious , so are we supposed to be as Christians
_Soldiers are Enthusiastic, so are we supposed to be as Christians
_Soldiers are Rugged, so are we supposed to be as Christians
_Soldiers never Surrender to the enemies, so are we supposed to be as Christians

"Soldiers are trained, armed & licensed to kill. Christians have spiritual weapons and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood...(Jeremiah 48:10)"

PROVERBS DAILY

The diligent takes time to ruminate on his thoughts before taking any action. He will only take action on the thoughts that will be productive. But the hasty does not create time for careful consideration of that which he wants to do. Hence, failure looms

Friday 20 October 2017

PROVERBS DAILY

Disgrace and dishonour are sworn identity of the man whose hands works evil and heart devises maleficence.
Detachment from this awful recognition is done at calvary. Where there is an exchange of your SINS for His SINLESSNESS by the cleansing power of His spotless blood.

STAND FAST; STAND RESISTING WITHOUT RELINQUISHING

STAND FAST; STAND RESISTING WITHOUT RELINQUISHING

The effrontery of our antagonist (the devil) must be resistively confronted. This confrontation must be bravely and cleverly done, backed up with a relentless endeavour.
The antagonists will continually be active in his confrontations till we leave for yonder place. This certainty should make us take our stand without relinquishing.
The grace of God is always available for us to back us up even in dark times. A continuous and relentless resistance will form a sabotage on the adversary's intention of laying a barrage before you.

"Relentless resistance will force the fiend to flee. Therefore be relentless in your resistance"

Thursday 19 October 2017

STAND FAST; STAND QUICKLY AND QUICKER

STAND FAST; STAND QUICKLY AND QUICKER

Being prompt to duty is a distinguishing factor of an assiduous defender of the faith.
In addition to your being a lidless watcher, you must always act quickly. Some daring Christians have got to loose their lives not because they were not watchful enough but it is that they were too slow in responding to the upshot of watchfulness.
While faithfully watching and standing fast in the Lord, instructions will be given from the throne of grace. These instructions demand prompt response and any delay or dilly-dallying can be disastrous.
The attacker (devil) has never stopped launching attacks, so it will be great wisdom in display to be quicker in attacking before the attacker attacks. Just as the popular saying that attack is the best form of defence but it must be done while you have 50-50 percent chance. Don't wait for the devil to launch his attack, you might survive it but the deed would have been done and the scar most cases are irredeemable. Thus, making attempt to respond to the onslaught of the devil is a great miscalculation for the watchman.

"Stand fast, be quick in taking divine instructions into action and quicker in attacking the attacker"

Wednesday 18 October 2017

PROVERBS DAILY

The anger of God will be fully unveiled on the judgement day. If you choose not to repent you are at the risk of making your soul a recipient of the anger of the King of kings.

STAND FAST; STAND PRAYERFULLY

STAND FAST; STAND PRAYERFULLY

Your prayer is the means of generating the divine strength to keep you standing. Praying while standing keeps you constantly connected to God. This makes hearing from God easier and more convenient. During prayer:
- the attackers attacks are wasted
- the deceivers devices are diffused
- the adversary's are unarmed
- the ammunitions of the archfiend is annihilated
- the predators are made preys
Also, during prayers:
- Bonds are broken
- The bounds are freed
- Your arsenal is fortified
- You prevail even in the midst of perils
- You get bolder and boldly

"You cannot stand far in standing fast if your standing is without a firmly grounded stand in prayers"

MAKING OUR CALLING AN ELECTION SURE

TUESDAY LEADERS DEVELOPMENT
BY PASTOR W. F. KUMUYI
ON OCTOBER 17, 2017

MAKING OUR CALLING AN ELECTION SURE
I Kings 13:1
The phrase "the man of God" appeared many times in I Kings 13. As in verses 1,4,7,8,11,12,14
The point is that this man was a real man of God. This phrase was used concerning Moses, Elijah, Elisha, Timothy and other respected man of God in the Bible
He was saved, committed, consecrated, uncompromising stand to God. But there came an avoidable temptation. The temptation wasn't that fierce.
He could have prayed about it but he didn't.
_His failure was unnecessary
_His action was regrettable
_And his end was sorrowful
A little compromise, a little deviation, a little fellowship with iniquity ruined his life
II Peter 1:10-12

1. THE CHARACTER AND THE COURAGE OF THE TRUE MINISTER
2. THE CONVICTION AND THE CONSECRATION OF A TRUSTWORTHY MINISTER
3. THE CONSTANCY AND THE CONSISTENCY OF A TENACIOUS MINSTER

1. THE CHARACTER AND THE COURAGE OF THE TRUE MINISTER
I Kings 13:1-6; II Peter 1:21; II Kings 4:9; Exodus 18:21; I Timothy 6:9-11; I Kings 21:17-29; Acts 4:19,20; 5:29; II Timothy 2:21,22; 3:14,15; II Corinthians 12:9; Hebrews 11:34
He courageously proclaim the word of God against the idolatry of Jeroboam as a true minister.

2. THE CONVICTION AND THE CONSECRATION OF A TRUSTWORTHY MINISTER
I Kings 13:7-9,17; Genesis 14:22,23
The man of God and the word of God are inseparable. He build his commitment on the word of God. He base his conviction on the word of God. Any conviction that is not based on the word of God is worthless. If it is going to be any worthy conviction, it must be based on the word of God.
Psalms 141:4; I Kings 22:14,22-28,37; Psalms 40:9,10; Acts 20:20,26,27; Deuteronomy 4:2-4; 12:32; Revelation 22:18,19

3. THE CONSTANCY AND THE CONSISTENCY OF A TENACIOUS MINSTER
I Kings 13:13-19,24; II Peter 3:17; I Kings 13:18
The first error - sitting when you are not yet home
The young prophet should have known that there are falling angels and there are good angels. God exalt His word more than his name - Psalms 138:2; 119:89; Isaiah 8:20;
One thing we must keep in mind is that: Angels do know every - Matthew 24:35,36; I Peter 1:8,10,12;
The fallen angels - II Corinthians 11:13-15; Matthew 25:41;
Galatians 1:6-8; Romans 8:38,39; I Peter 1:25

Be calm, cool and calculated in the steps you take. When you taking steps in a hurry, you will most likely not be very careful to see sin and the possibility of stepping into it is very high

BELIEVING AND FOLLOWING THE TRUE SHEPHERD

MONDAY BIBLE STUDY
BY PASTOR W. F. KUMUYI
ON OCTOBER 16, 2017

BELIEVING AND FOLLOWING THE TRUE SHEPHERD
John 10:10

The heavenly Father, Almighty has promised His people shepherds that will lead them into the truth. They will teach them the word of God. Those who were prominent leaders in the new testament were the pharisees. They were oppressive and not feeding the people with the word of God.
The promise of God and the expectation of His people can be seen in Jeremiah 23:4. Comparing this with the Pharisees, we can see Isaiah 56:11. They didn't understand the provision that Jesus Christ has brought. The consequence of the fact the Pharisees and the Sadducees don't know that Christ has come to save His people is in Jeremiah 5:6. They forgot about heaven. They forgot about the promise land. They forgot about the promised resting place.
In the new testament, Matthew 9:36

1. THE DECEPTION AND DEADLINES OF TRESPASSING SHEPHERDS
2. THE DESCRIPTION AND DISTINCTIVENESS OF THE TRUE SHEPHERD
3. THE DESCRIPTION AND DEVOTEDNESS THE OF THE TRUSTING SHEEP

1. THE DECEPTION AND DEADLINES OF TRESPASSING SHEPHERDS
John 10:1,5,8,10,
Jesus described these shepherd as:
-Transgressing leaders
-Misleading guides
-Self appointed messiah
-Unconverted teachers
-Sinning ministers
-Deceivers and destroyer of soul
-Servant and messenger of Satan
These pharisees were: Proud, Unconverted and Incorrigible
The appearance of these pharisees were like that of the one spoken of in Jeremiah 23:1,16,21,32; Matthew 7:15-22; II Corinthians 11:13

2. THE DESCRIPTION AND DISTINCTIVENESS OF THE TRUE SHEPHERD
John 10:2-4,7; Genesis 49:22; Psalm 23:1-6; 80:1; Isaiah 40:10,11; Jeremiah 31:10,11,21; John 10:11,14; I Peter 2:24,25; Hebrews 13:20

3. THE DESCRIPTION AND DEVOTEDNESS THE OF THE TRUSTING SHEEP
We need to understand that if He is the Shepherd, we are the sheep. If he is the sanctifier, then we are the sanctified. If he is the Redeemer, we are the redeemed. If He is the baptizer in the Holy Ghost, then we are the baptized in the Holy Ghost. Whatever He is works in our lives.
John 10:2,3
All christians are sheep of his fold. What we learn about His sheep are:
- His sheep hear his voice (Call, Word) - John 10:3; 6:45
- The sheep enter the kingdom through the door - John 10:9; Matthew 7:13
- The sheep believe in the Lord and they are saved - John 10:26; Acts 16:31; Romans 10:9,10
- The sheep does not listen to strangers - John 10:5,8; Hebrews 13:8,9
- The sheep follow Him - John 10:4; I Peter 2:21; Revelation 14:4
John 10:10; 20:31; 10:10; Galatians 2:20; Ephesians 3:20

PROVERBS DAILY

The extent to which the eyes of the natural man will see is restricted. But t when God looks not even the flesh can restrict him from seeing the intent of the heart. Which is a product of what kind of spirit you are made of. What is your heart made of?

Sunday 15 October 2017

PROVERBS DAILY

From careful observation, you will notice that being categorised as a fool is as a result of words spoken. So also he that will be counted wise, will still be by his spoken words.  The difference mostly is not that they don't know to say, but knowing when to say it and saying it aright is where the wise edge out the fool.
So when you are prompted to speak, speak in the right season and speak aright

THE STATE AND THE STANDING OF NEW MEN IN CHRIST

SATURDAY WORKERS TRAINING
BY PASTOR W. F. KUMUYI
ON OCTOBER 14, 2017

THE STATE AND THE STANDING OF NEW MEN IN CHRIST
II Corinthians 5:17; Deuteronomy 10:16; 30:6

All men without Christ has something missing which makes them unfit for the kingdom of God. He may be:
-Nice and kind
-Wild or Wonderful
-Sincere or sensual
-Cultured and refined
-Philanthropic
-Educated
-Well-behaved
-Church registered
-Baptized in water
-Church confirmed
-Humanitarian
If he does not have Christ, he has so much of the first man (Adam) in him. They are only fit for the world.
Only new men in Christ can be in the new heaven with God.
Christ must make you a new man before you can be fit for heaven
As a child needs to be born before circumcision, so also a man must be born again before circumcision (sanctification). As long as the first skin of the heart is still there, your love for God is still limited. Until there is circumcision of the heart, you cannot love God fully with your heart.
Ephesians 4:23,24; Colossians 3:1

1. THE INABILITY OF THE NATURAL MAN
2. THE IDENTITY OF THE NEW MAN
3. THE INTEGRITY OF NEWLY MADE MEN

1. THE INABILITY OF THE NATURAL MAN
-He may be well known
-He may be popular
-He may be wealthy; once he is a natural man his ability is restricted.
I Corinthians 2:14
The natural man has an inborn deformity which cannot be corrected or rectified by earthly means. Because he has an inherent stain, that tries to stain all he does.
-The natural man cannot please God. This is because the natural man is earthly but God is heavenly. Also, the natural man is sinful but God is Holy
-The natural man cannot fulfil God's demand. God's demand is high, holy and heavenly
-He cannot do God's will fully in God's own way. He doesn't have the
-He cannot walk without stumbling in God's way
-He cannot obey God perfectly as God expects. "An empty bag cannot stand erect". A natural man is empty of grace, virtue of heaven and everything that comes from God
-He cannot meet God high standard
-He cannot improve on the flesh for heaven. No matter education, reformation or religion, the flesh will still be flesh
Romans 8:6,7; 7:14-20
The old man cannot fulfill the law of the new covenant.
Jeremiah 6:10; 9:26; Ezekiel 15:7,9; Acts 7:51; Ezekiel 44:7,8; Ephesians 4:17-19

2. THE IDENTITY OF THE NEW MAN
Neither religion nor reformation can change the old nature into the new man. The power and wherewithal lies in the redemptive work of Christ at calvary
We cannot be sanctified before we are saved. You cannot give birth to yourself, so also you cannot save yourself by yourself. In the same way, as you cannot circumcise yourself so also can you not circumcise yourself.
Both the birth and circumcision are instantaneous acts not gradual processes. Salvation and sanctification are done instantaneously by Christ
II Corinthians 5:17,21; Galatians 2:20; Deuteronomy 30:6; 11:21; Jeremiah 4:4; Romans 2:29; Philippians 3:3; Colossians 2:11; II Peter 1:3,4; Hebrews 11:
It is necessary to be born again and circumcised. The Lucifer's nature cannot enter heaven again. His nature includes:
-pride
-self will
-usurping God's authority
-perverting God's work
-striving against God and his angels
-using his wisdom against God and lying against the word of God
The nature of Adam, Eve and that of Lucifer must be taken away

3. THE INTEGRITY OF NEWLY MADE MEN
Ephesians 4:24; Hebrews 8:10; Acts 24:16; II Peter 1:12; 3:11,

THE INCALCULABLE CONSEQUENCES OF A LEADER'S INFLUENCE

TUESDAY LEADERS DEVELOPMENT
BY PASTOR W. F. KUMUYI
ON OCTOBER 10, 2017

THE INCALCULABLE CONSEQUENCES OF A LEADER'S INFLUENCE
I Kings 12:1-3
This passage talked about three persons:
- Solomon
- Rehoboam
- Jeroboam
They were kings and leaders over Israel. The consequences of these people had long lasting effects. These people are:
- Solomon
- His son (Rehoboam)
- His servant (Jeroboam)
The consequent of one life over other people. The ongoing influence of one man over a nation.
Daniel 12:3; 8:10-12
The other side of the coin of Daniel 12:3 is that "They that turn many into unrighteousness shall suffer as fallen stars for ever and ever"
Malachi 2:8,9; Isaiah 9:16; Jeremiah 18:15; 23:14,15; Daniel 12:2

1. REHOBOAM: THE SON AND THE SORROW OF SOLOMON
2. JEROBOAM: THE SERVANT AND THE SCOURGE OF SOLOMON
3. JUDGEMENT: SUFFERING FOR SINNING SON AND SERVANT

1. REHOBOAM: THE SON AND THE SORROW OF SOLOMON
I Kings 11:43; 12:12-17; 14:21-22; 15:1-3,8,9; II Chronicles 15:2; 16:2-4,7-10,13
The kingdom that Solomon gathered broke in the hands of Rehoboam
The trend of kings in Israel after Solomon went from: Rehoboam - > Abijam - > Asa and the rest
II Kings 25:8-10,21
Solomon anticipated that his son will be a sorrow to him. Rehoboam lost every precious treasure that Solomon had made.
Proverbs 17:21,25; 19:13,26; 28:7; Ecclesiastics 2:17-20

2. JEROBOAM: THE SERVANT AND THE SCOURGE OF SOLOMON
I Kings 11:9-11,26-31,33,40; 12:20; Joshua 23:13
Jeroboam, Solomon servant was used as a scourge for Solomon. He too soon forgot and led Israel to sin. I Kings 11:35,37,38; 12:26-30
He couldn't remember that the word of God said thou shalt not worship Idol. It means Solomon didn't give priority to the word of God but was only given to building and executing projects.
I Kings 12:31; 13:33; II Kings 17:6-11,13,14,21-23
Israel under the perpetual evil of Jeroboam continued in sin until there was no remedy. Because of their influence, many suffered then; many are still suffering while many will still suffer
