PAUSE, PERUSE AND PONDER

"SO TEACH US TO NUMBER OUR DAYS" - 1
Understanding the concept of "time" and "eternity"

The existence of all human beings is divided into two parts. It can also be said that as human beings, our form of existence is in two phases:
Phase I: in time and;
Phase II: in eternity.
The existence in "time" is the one that we are currently experiencing on the surface of the earth. While phase II, "eternity" is where we will be when life on earth is gone. This eternity is divided into heaven and hell.
The way our lives are spent in "time" determines our placement in "eternity".
God has actually given us the opportunity to decide where we actually want to live in "eternity" by placing us here in "time". It must be resounding in our subconscious mind that we are passing through "time" to get a placement in "eternity".
"Time" is an ephemeral factor and is a place of temporality but "eternity" is a place of permanence. The only place where constance exist is in "eternity". Take caution to pass your "time" well.
The psalmist while passing through "time" made a serious request from His Maker; "So teach us to number our days", this is because of the following reasons:

_"Time" has a limit, but "eternity" is limitless
_Coming into "time" is by birth, but we get to "eternity" by death
_In "time" the body is mortal but in "eternity" the body is immortal
_In "time" dates exist but "eternity" is dateless (sempiternal)
_In "time" the flesh war against the soul but in "eternity" the flesh is worn-off from the soul
_In "time" you choose destinations (or habitations) but in "eternity" destinations (or habitations) are predetermined in time
_"Time" gives opportunity to mingle with all kinds of people but "eternity" confines you with people with whom you are like-minded
_In "time" decisions are made, but in "eternity" decisions made in time manifests
_In "time" you have a will as a free moral being but in "eternity" your will is not a function of your choice but of your decision made in time
_In "time" change is constant but in "eternity" constant replaces change
_In "time" you chose your friends but in "eternity" your friends are products of where you find yourself
_In "time" you can find help but in "eternity" help cannot be rendered
_In "time" there can be promotion but in "eternity" your entering level becomes your everlasting level
_In "time" academic certificates count but only the only certificate that matters in "eternity" is salvation
_In "time" there is exposure to good and bad but in "eternity" you'll have one (not that you'll choose)
_In "time" sin is permitted but in "eternity" sin is punished
_In "time" holiness is mocked but in "eternity" holiness makes-sense
_In "time" there is need for means of transportation but in "eternity" that is not needed
_In "time" there are moments of tears and moments of joy but in "eternity" you'll have one (not that you'll choose)
_In "time" pains are ephemeral (for a moment) but in "eternity" (hell) pains are unending
_In "time" celebrations are occasional but in "eternity" (heaven) celebration is continual
_In "time" churches have denominations but in "eternity" there is only one church
_In "time" the door of God's mercy is opened but in "eternity" the door of God's mercy is closed
_In "time" there is grace for sinners to be saved but in "eternity" no sinner can be saved (grace for salvation is time dependent)
_In "time" there are posts in the church but in "eternity" all humans are equal
_In "time" professors are respected as academic erudites but in "eternity" the professors write the same exam with the unlearned
You are in "time" now, you cannot cannot say when you will be in "eternity". The interval between "time" and "eternity" given by a duration or space of time is expressed in the equation: 0<t=1 where "t" is measured in seconds. So also, the interval between "time" and "eternity" given by distance or space expanded is expressed in the equation: 0<x=1 where "x" is measured in steps.
Knowing fully well that our "time" is short, use your "time" to prepare well for "eternity"

I MADE THE CHOICE, NO EXCUSE

I MADE THE CHOICE, NO EXCUSE

I've heard of the Saviour called Jesus
Who came to die on the cross for the sin of the whole world
If I reject this great sacrifice of Salvation
I made the choice, No excuse

I have the bible and I can read
I have read of God's love in John 3:16
If I chose to be turn deaf ear to this
I made the choice, No excuse

There are great preachers and I've listened to them
They have warned of impending judgement of God
If I be victim of this judgement
I made the choice, No excuse

I have friends that have preached to me
Of the imminence and inevitability of Christ's return
If I then live a reckless life, unprepared
I made the choice, No excuse

I have a mind and can conceive
That actually heaven and hell is true
If I decide to excuse sin in my life
I made the choice, No excuse

I have a brain and can think that people have lived before me
And these all have to pass away one after the other
If this thought will not lead me to repentance
I made the choice, No excuse

I have legs I can walk away from iniquities
And run to the cross for forgiveness
If I decide to tread the path of destruction
I made the choice, No excuse

I have my knees and I can pray
So that I can escape the devils plot to drag me to hell
If I consider prayer of repentance unnecessary
I made the choice, No excuse

I have then made the choice of weeping and wailing
To live an eternity with the devil in hell
Because the way of the cross that leads home I've neglected
And I'll be lost forever because I made the choice

You have eyes and you can read
And you have successfully read through this piece
If you decide to read without turning away from sin
You made the choice, No excuse

"Hebrews 9:27 (KJV)  And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:"

THE TRUE GOSPEL AND "THE ANOTHER" GOSPEL

THE TRUE GOSPEL AND "THE ANOTHER" GOSPEL

The existence of another gospel is as long as the existence of Paul the apostle. It means that the rivalry between the true gospel of the grace of Christ and that of another gospel has been for about two millennial.
The pure gospel has been adulterated to coin out a gospel of convenience and tolerance;
The gospel of truth has been tilted to sooth moral men;
The gospel of sound doctrine has been softly maneuvered to accommodate frivolities;
This was what Apostle Paul experienced then and he was not happy with. "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ" Galatians 1:6,7(KJV) The same trend has found its way into our contemporary time.

_The true gospel teaches total freedom from sin but the "another gospel" teaches the impossibility of total freedom from sin
_The true gospel teaches continuous abiding in the Lord but the "another gospel" teaches careless oscillation between Christ and sin
_The true gospel teaches that grace is the means we obtained freedom from sin but the "another gospel" teaches that grace is a licence to sin
_The true gospel reveals JESUS CHRIST as the ONLY way to God but the "another gospel" reveals JESUS CHRIST and good deeds (or morals) as alternative means to God
_The true gospel of reveals JESUS CHRIST as the only name to pray with  but the "another gospel" reveals Christ and others (e.g. Mary, Angels etc) as alternative names of praying to God
-The true gospel reveals JESUS CHRIST as the crucified lamb on the cross but the "another gospel" has it that JESUS CHRIST was not crucified on the cross (some said He didn't die at all)
_The true gospel reveals JESUS CHRIST as the coming king but the "another gospel" has it that has come and will not come again
_The true gospel states it that it is impossible to serve God and mammon but the "another gospel" has a confusing way of making it possible to serve God and still hold on to your mammon
_The true gospel has it that the Bible has 66 books altogether (39 in the old testament and 27 in the new testament) but the "another gospel" will say there are some books that are missing out in the 66
_The true gospel reveals JESUS CHRIST as the final sacrificial lamb but the "another gospel" acknowledges Christ as a sacrificial lamb but still hold on to the killing of animals and burning of incense
_The true gospel recognises sin no matter how small it is but the "another gospel" has a way of classifying or belittling sin (i.e. Some sins are insignificant or irrelevant or of no consequence)
_The true gospel has a standard for dressing and appearance but the "another gospel" has mingled it as though it doesn't matter
_The true gospel makes the sinners know that their end is in hell but the "another gospel" in deceit gives a consoling hope of purgatory to sinners (as though God is partial but He is not)
_The true gospel reveals that HOLINESS is the only pass that will allow you enter through the pearly gate but the "another gospel" has it that good works without holiness can still grant you an entrance
_The true gospel never compromise even in the midst of thousands of opposition but the "another gospel" is flexible as to allow opposition prevail on it
_The true gospel assures the believers eternal rewards if and only if the faith is kept undenied and resolute to the last breath but the "another gospel" has it that if you have once kept the faith, it doesn't matter even if you are off-track when death came, eternal rewards awaits you
_The true gospel have got no room for jokes and frivolities but the "another gospel" has created a space for frivolities and jokes (even if it cost them to lie to laugh, they don't mind)
_The true gospel established that apart from the initial evidence of speaking in tongues after Holy Ghost baptism, power and boldness accompany too but the "another gospel" prioritize speaking in tongues as the evidence of Holy Ghost baptism (to the extent that some are thought how to speak) and they still cringe at the simple buzzing of a house fly (how then will they stand when devil is passing by let alone knocking?)
_The true gospel declares believers and the world as antiparallel vectors but the "another gospel" still finds a way to harmonise the world (& its deeds) with the believer's
_The true gospel teaches that baptism is by total or complete immersion in water but the "another gospel" has alternative means of baptism by sprinkling of water, making sign of the cross on the forehead, etc as against immersion
_The true gospel teaches marriage, no divorce & no re-marriage (except one partner dies) but the "another gospel" gives room for oscillation or multiplication of spouse
_The true gospel warns against adding or subtracting form the Holy Scriptures but the "another gospel" has a way of bringing in or removing something from the Holy Scriptures by human reasoning

"But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." Galatians 1:8 (KJV)
There is a great danger (of hell fire) to those who decided to twist the word of God to suit his own desire. Therefore, I implore any one who is victim or propagator of any other gospel apart from the true gospel to repent and follow the true gospel

"But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ." Galatians 1:11-12(KJV)

"Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not." Galatians 1:20 (KJV)
