"BUT IT IS HAPPENED UNTO THEM"

The scriptures talked about it
I've heard it in stories.
It happen in films
I have also seen it in real life
"... the sow (pig) that was washed to her wallowing in the mire"
It is a pitiable condition to be. It is an unpalatable scene to behold. When a well washed pig decides to go back to the dirts from which she was cleansed. When this happens:
- It renders the labour of the washer useless
- It creates an impression of ingratitude
- It makes mockery of the owners efforts
- It gives the younger ones license to follow in like manner
- It grieve the owner
This case of "the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire" explains the condition of a backslider. It means he has been a Christian before who believes the totality of the word of God but along the line went back to the evil he has once rejected and renounced. It us an evil predicted to be preeminent in the last days. Many a youth have followed this abjuratory lifestyle of pigs.
Backsliding is a snare and a trap set by the devil to pull down or bring back one who has been on the right track of the truth. It is aimed at making him refute the totality of the truth he has once believed, preached and defended. It weakens such a one's spiritual understanding to the extent that it becomes difficult for him/her to agree that his new style of belief is wrong. It emboldens its victims such that they can defend the present error publicly more than the way they could even have done for the original they once had.
It is a situation deserving an inciting pity when a vibrant Christian suddenly turns around to belief a form of gospel that is against the genuineness of the gospel.
This cancer of backsliding eats up the possibility of returning to the original truth in its victims and leaves them with an a large space filled with falsified gospels. The victim finds no reason to see that he has changed his direction of path. And that danger lies ahead in this new route.
The major reason the devil is doing this is just to make those who could have been strong pillars in the house of God to become caterpillars. The devil makes use of the spiritual noesis to destroy that which is true by simply altering the truth they have already known. This can only be done in two ways - either by adding a little to it to make it look like what is not or by removing something from it to make it accommodating.
Little do the victims know that they have given off their mansions in heaven and that they have started a foundation of eternal pains and regrets.
It pains me when I hear of people who have been fervent in the Lord and decides to turn away from the Lord. Though I know there will be falling away before Christ returns the second time but I know that His grace is still sufficient to see those who are determined through.

"I have decided to quit the way of sin and Satan
I have given a quit notice to the world and its lust
I have lost it all, the sensitivity to sin
I have bidden devil farewell never to be entangled

I have decided to follow the path of the cross
I have counted the cost and I cannot give up
I hold on to the totality of the scripture
I have vowed a vow and will not recount

I have chosen the path of life, Lead me Lord
I have declared Christ as Lord, see me Through
I have a crown to wear, Redeemer, hold me
The fort I hold, Your grace is enough for me"

THE PREEMINENCE OF HOLINESS

True Oh true brother!
Holiness was their watchword when they began
They could do nothing without approaching the throne of grace
Their holy living with grace got them special anointing
But the anointing got intoxicated along the way
That the foundation of holiness was dropped
Before long grace fell of their life
Unknown that they also had fallen off grace
They continue alone with anointing
They were not conscious of the two wings
On which the anointing lies
Holiness and grace they refuted
Alas! It was over when they passed away
They thought it was the matter of anointing
Until they arrived the pearly gate
Anointing is needed on earth was on the inscription he saw
But boldly underlying was HOLINESS IS THE KEY TO ENTER HERE (HEAVEN)
Down they had to go along the rail
Never knew how all got drained
Gently down the dangerous steep they move
Unknown to them that the time of grace has expired
They thought it was the matter of anointing
But they forgot that the foundation of holiness and grace should never be neglected
That if they want their anointing to carry them to a holy place (heaven)
Their heads must not lack the ointment of grace
Neither should their be a trace of unholiness in their life
Unfortunately, they have found themselves in the dreadful path
To a place where they will holy men never go
True is it that they had the anointing but because holiness was missing
They missed heaven and sank down in hell

There are more HOLY men in Heaven than ANOINTED men.
There are SOME Anointed men in hell but NO Holy man in hell.
HOLINESS is a MUST... ANOINTING is a Plus.
Therefore, be holy, live holy & stay holy

SOJOURNER ITS ALMOST TIME

But the end of all things is at hand 1 Peter 4:7 (KJV) 

It is good when a sojourner knows that he is approaching the end of his journey. All he does is to start tidying up things he have with him so that he won't forget anything he is not supposed to. Oh my comrades, the signal is very clear that we are approaching the end of time. Carest not thou that thou art carefree?
Approaching the end of the journey should bring an excitement to the sojourner because a place of rest awaits him. Oh sojourning Christians let the joy of awaiting rest in glory bloom in you continuously.
Sojourners don't go into any form of casual let alone a deep sleep when the final destination is near. Awake thou that journey from earth to the celestial city. Knowest thou not that any form of sleep at this time is a sleep of death?
He that sojourns checks his dressing to be so sure that he is not stained and if any stain or dirt be found, he quickly finds a way of cleaning it. Dost thou do a routine check up on how pure your garment of holiness is? Please do because a single stain can debar you eternal rest
He will not be engrossed in any form of conversation that will hinder his terminal readiness. Oh thou great sojourner passing through the end, would thou not stop vain and ungodly discussions that is making you forget that your final salvation is nearer than expected
He who wants to receive a warm welcome home and wants those will be welcoming him to be happy with him must be ready to bring gifts along. Sojourner, how will you get to the pearly gate and there is no single soul to greet the Saviour?
Knowing then that the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
Oh Sojourner, thou art supposed to spend the rest of your time in watchfulness because soon you will be at the end of your journey. Dear sojourner, you've got to pray for mercy to end well. Some people started well hoping to finish strong, reverse was the case in that they were strongly finished. Some were actually very close to the end but ended before the end. Well, it is not ending before the actual end that matters. What really matters is how well you end.
Oh may His coming to bring all Sojourning Christians meet you in a state of watchfulness and prayerfulness which qualifies you to end well.

I was sent to feed my brother.
I went as an obligation without a bother,
My obligations blindfolded me
That I refused to see the voice of warning.

As a royal lady with magical hands,
I cooked, feeling good to be useful at hand.
The sounds of my utensils deafened me,

As I walked majestically to his bedchamber,
"Love", he called it, "Love" I thought,
Until I realise my body he sought.

At first, I thought it was a brotherly joke,
It was too late to discover the devilish joke
I beseeched him to get me married to him,
But he was lost in his lusting.

He did the unexpected,
Immediately, I was dejected,
His fulfilled desire made me a rejection,
And I became rejected by compulsion.

I wasn't fit to put on the robe,
I searched earnestly for a rope
My crown was substituted for ashes
As my future was filled with dashes.

I cried and cried, but my tears were helpless,
I was foolish to think his bedchamber was harmless,
It dawned on me that I was intentionally careless,
Warning spoke, caution shouted but I heard less.

My old aunt(Dinah) fell victim,
I was also foolish though I wasn't visiting,
What can I do over my loss,
I had no option but to bear my cross.

O daughter of the Great King,
Hear my cry,lest you begin to cringe
There is an Ammon in his bedchamber,
Waiting for who to batter.

Do not be foolish to approach,
Lest you exchange your crown for ashes.

HIS MARRIAGE

WIVES, MAKE YOUR HOME AND MARRIAGE SWEET

1 Peter 3:1 (KJV)  Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;

The primary place of where a wife needs to be in subjection is in her home to her husband not in the place of worship. Many women will kneel down to greet spiritual leaders but disregard their husbands. It is misplacement of priority and against the spiritual ordinance to do this.
Do you know that if the respects and honour that many women give to outsiders and men of God so to say are given to their husbands at home, many homes will be happy.
Though the wife is meant to be in subjection but the husband is supposed to create the avenue for the wife not by being bossy.
A lot hang on the neck of the wife because apart from being in subjection to her husband she is to win others by living a radiant life which will be obvious even in he spoken words. Words fitly spoken will make a broken heart rejoice and can lift off burdens off the shoulders of the discouraged.
Wives generally are to have their mouth filled with SWEET words. Sweet in the sense that you'll:

BUY THE TRUTH AND SELL IT NOT

Since the TRUTH is the TRUTH and "we can do NOTHING AGAINST THE TRUTH, but FOR THE TRUTH"
Here comes a great advice for the wise," buy the truth and sell it not". This statement looks so simple but we must take note of the two action words here, "BUY" and "SELL". It is very important to BUY but you must take note that you are NOT to SELL it.
The TRUTH is worth it, that's why the counsel is coming to everyone to buy the truth. The truth is also very expedient to the existence of man that is why the counsel didn't stop at buying it alone but it goes further to say "sell it not".
Here comes a moment of reasoning and asking yourself two life questions
-why do you want me to buy the truth? Since I have the freedom to chose what I want. I can decide to buy and can also decide not to.
-why should I not sell it? After all I bought this myself, I should be able to sell it for something better.

WHY DO I NEED TO BUY THE TRUTH?
You need to buy the truth because
_The TRUTH is TRUE and TRANSFORMING
_The TRUTH is RICH and RESOURCEFUL
_The TRUTH is UNENDING and UNCOMPROMISING
_The TRUTH is TRIUNE and THEOCRATIC
_The TRUTH is the HOPE for the HOPELESS

WHY DO PEOPLE NOT BUY THE TRUTH?
Seeing that there is a good need for the truth, why then do people shy away or neglect the truth:
_some neglect the TRUTH because of TIMIDITY
_others feel the TRUTH is too REAL
_some feel the TRUTH is UNFASHIONABLE
_some people feel the TRUTH is THROTTLING (limiting)
_others feel that the TRUTH mere HALLUCINATION (fallacy)

WHAT IS THIS TRUTH?
It is pivotal to know this TRUTH I am talking about. The TRUTH is
_TRACED to CHRIST
_REVEALED in CHRIST
_UNFOLDED as CHRIST
_TRANSFORMING through CHRIST
_HELD up with CHRIST

WHY SHOULD I NOT SELL THE TRUTH?
The TRUTH is not to be sold because of it's distinguishing features. The TRUTH is highly flavoured with ever potent power of the eternal Triune God. The truth has been from eternity and will continue to eternity.
_Trustworthy: Believing the truth is the most benefiting investment of your faith. It shows that you have signed up for an everlasting security for your soul that will be eternal.
_Rustfree: There had been so many prevarication. All these were all futile because the TRUTH is RUST-FREE. There is no stain in the TRUTH. No dirt in the the TRUTH. The TRUTH is RUST-FREE and DUST-FREE.
_Unavoidable: No one can outsmart the TRUTH. If such a one successfully bypass the TRUTH here on earth, it will be waiting at the pearly gate for him/her.
_Timely: There is nothing that happens to a man that won't be according to the TRUTH. Some might tag it with different names but the real thing is that the TRUTH has caught up with such person.
_Heavenly: Any word spoken by angel; Any article published by men; Any book written which does not have heavenly or divine authorization is no way related to the TRUTH. Thus, such writings will be brought under judgement by the TRUTH. Therefore the TRUTH, has heavenly affidavit

WHY DO PEOPLE SELL THE TRUTH?
People sell the TRUTH because of some of these reasons:
_in pursuit of earthly TREASURES which are ethereal
_in pursuit of RICHES which are ephemeral
_when they find themselves in UNPLEASANT situations
_when they are TIRED of people not believing that they are saying the truth
_when they are seeking for HELP from all other means (apart from God)
Other common reasons why people sell the truth are:
_in search for job
_in search for a life partner
_seeking for promotion
_wanting to amass wealth
_wanting to occupy a post he/she is not qualified for
_seeking for undeserved success
_in search for power
_in search for children
_in search for protection
_in attempt to cover up the truth
_seeking for unmerited favour

WHAT KIND OF TRUTH DO I EVEN NEED TO BUY?
No matter what kind of situation you find yourself in life, position you occupy or how rich you are. The TRUTH that you need is the:
_TRUTH of the Gospel
_REALITY of Heaven
_UNDENIABLE existence of hell
_TESTIMONY of Christ fullness
_HOPE of eternal life

WHAT TO DO TO THIS TRUTH
_Teach it and Tenaciously hold on to it
_Rest and Rely on Christ, the Truth
_Unveil to others and Unabatedly defend it
_Testify of it before your final Transit
_Hold it in your Heart, Head and Hands

Buy the TRUTH and make sure you have it safe and secure. The TRUTH can only be found in Christ and Christ alone.
It is saddening to know that some people who had bought the truth sold it off.
Dare to be different!
Dare to stand up tall!
Dare to be one in a million!
Dare to keep that treasure!
